myFace was invited to Broadway to participate in the Round about production of Violet on Sunday, June 1, 2014. Starring two-time Tony Award® winner Sutton Foster, Violet the musical is about a young woman with a facial difference and her journey to self-acceptance. my-Face staff, Board Members, patients and families enjoyed an incredible performance of the musical. Following the show, myFace Executive Director Carolyn Spector, Director of Family Programs Dina Zuckerberg, and long-time patient Claudia Lopez took to the stage next to the critically acclaimed cast for an exclusive post-show talkback. Speaking of their personal experiences growing up with a facial difference, both Dina and Claudia brought the audience to tears with their confidence and sheer positive outlook.

Reflecting on the day, Dina recalls how “it was beyond moving how audience members came up to me after the talk-back crying, saying thank you and even asking if they could hug me. An awesome afternoon I will not soon forget!”
